The three fixed-price tiers
Every Westgate garden room build sits in one of three fixed-price tiers. The ideas below are mapped to whichever tier is the natural fit; most can be moved up or down with hardware adjustments.

1. The classic bar shed (Soft Upgrade — £3,995)
The original. A single space with 4–6 lighting zones (bar, seating, dartboard, feature wall), one Multiroom Audio zone with ceiling speakers, climate control via electric panel heater or air-con split, and three preset scenes: “Day”, “Bar”, “Late Night.”
Most common in Nottingham (West Bridgford, Edwalton) and Mansfield gardens. Install time: 2 days.
2. Home cinema room (Lite Upgrade — £6,450)
Projector, drop-down screen, surround sound, blackout blinds (manually operated at this tier; electric at Premium). One-press “Movie Mode” closes the blinds, dims the lights to amber 5%, drops the screen and switches the source to the AppleTV or Sky box.

3. Garden bar + cinema combo (Plus Upgrade — £9,995)
The most-requested premium build. Bar end, cinema end, full RGBW scene-based lighting, electric blinds, NFC entry on the door, outdoor patio audio zone for summer parties.
“Party Mode” turns the cinema end into a dance floor with colour scenes and routes audio to all indoor + patio speakers. “Cinema Mode” reverses everything.
4. Garden office for hybrid working (Soft Upgrade — £3,995)
Daylight-matched lighting (cool 5500K during work hours, warm 2700K after 5pm), per-zone underfloor heating with presence detection, video-call-optimised audio, USB-C charging integrated into the wall panel.
“End of Work” scene: closes blinds, dims to warm white, starts a podcast or calm playlist. Most popular in Derby (Allestree, Littleover) for professional homeworkers.
5. Garden gym (Soft Upgrade + audio upgrade — ~£4,800)
Bright cool-white lighting on a single press, motivational playlist auto-starts via Multiroom Audio, climate set to drop temperature 2°C below the rest of the property, full-length mirror lighting. Optional: integration with a Peloton or smart spin bike.
6. Garden room + cabin spa (Plus Upgrade — £9,995)
Hot tub control integration, mood lighting around the deck, outdoor patio audio, electric privacy blinds, climate-controlled changing area. One-press “Spa Mode” runs everything.
7. Garden art studio (Soft Upgrade — £3,995)
CRI-95+ daylight lighting (essential for accurate colour work), per-zone heating, large skylight blinds with sun-angle automation to prevent glare on canvas, dust extraction integration.
8. Music studio / podcast room (Lite Upgrade — £6,450)
Acoustic-treated room with full audio system integration, one-press “Record” mode (silences phone, dims lights, switches off HVAC for noise reduction), live monitoring through ceiling speakers in adjacent room for the engineer.
9. Garden games room (Lite Upgrade — £6,450)
Pool table, dartboard, retro arcade machine, big-screen sports TV with multi-source HDMI matrix. “Match Day” scene: routes football to the big screen, opens the patio doors, lights to amber, beer-fridge LED on.
10. Garden room for a teenager (Soft Upgrade + RGBW — ~£4,500)
Independent entry, RGBW lighting on a colour wheel, gaming PC and console-friendly HDMI inputs, NFC entry on the door, climate control independent of the main house. A genuine retrofit for households with teens who need their own space.
11. Garden room as guest annexe / Airbnb (Plus Upgrade — £9,995)
NFC keyless entry that issues time-limited guest codes, full Multiroom Audio so guests can stream their own music, smart heating that disarms a “deep setback” when a booking is active, full app control documentation for guest handover.
12. Multi-purpose garden room (Plus Upgrade — £9,995)
The most flexible build. Family room by day, cinema by evening, party space by weekend. Three saved scene presets, every subsystem on the Miniserver, full RGBW. The room genuinely changes character at the press of a button.
