IP cameras · Local recording · Night performance
CCTV installation with local recording and no monthly fee.
Professionally sited IP camera systems across the East Midlands. Recording stays on your property, footage is actually usable at night, and there is no per-camera cloud subscription.
Most domestic CCTV fails at the moment it matters. Not because the cameras stopped working, but because the footage is useless — a figure in a hooded top at forty metres, lit by a security light that blew the exposure, recorded at a frame rate that turns movement into smears. The system worked exactly as installed. It was just installed to cover area rather than to identify people.

01 · Siting
Positioned to identify, not to cover
That means cameras at face height where somebody would actually enter, rather than high on a gable end looking down at the tops of heads.
It means checking night performance on site rather than trusting the datasheet, because infrared range claims are measured in conditions your driveway will never reproduce. And it means fewer cameras, in better places.
- Face-height positions at real entry points
- Night performance verified on site
- Cameras specified to the actual lighting
- Fewer cameras, better placed

02 · Recording
The footage stays on the property
A network video recorder in a cupboard or plant room holds it, which means no per-camera monthly charge and no dependency on a manufacturer's servers still existing in five years.
Remote viewing is available when you want it. It is a feature you enable, not a subscription you are locked into.
- Local NVR storage in your building
- No per-camera cloud subscription
- Optional secure remote viewing
- Yours in five years, whoever is still trading

03 · Integration
Cameras that stop being a separate system
A camera feed appears on the nearest wall panel when the doorbell rings. Exterior lighting comes up when motion is detected at the gate, rather than after someone is already at the door. Recording escalates when the alarm arms.
That coordination is the difference between an integrated system and four products sharing a wall.
- Feeds on the nearest panel when the bell rings
- Lighting triggered at the gate, not the door
- Recording that escalates with the alarm
- One app alongside everything else
What CCTV does not do
It does not prevent burglary on its own, and the deterrent effect is smaller than most people assume. Its real value is evidential and reassurance.
It works best alongside access control and alarm integration rather than as a standalone purchase. Where a camera overlooks a neighbour's property or public land there are GDPR obligations, and we will advise you on them at survey.
Why it's worth doing properly
CCTV Installation, done once and done right.
Footage you can actually use
Sited at face height at entry points, so you get identification rather than a hooded shape at forty metres.
No per-camera fees
Local recording. Cloud CCTV at £5–£15 per camera per month outweighs the hardware cost within a few years.
Night performance checked on site
Infrared range claims are lab figures. We verify what your driveway actually looks like at 2am before signing off.
Fewer cameras, better placed
Four well-sited cameras beat eight badly-sited ones, and cost less to install and maintain.
Lighting responds too
Motion at the gate brings exterior lighting up before someone reaches the door, not after.
Yours in five years
No dependency on a manufacturer's cloud still existing. The recorder is in your cupboard and it belongs to you.

One Miniserver runs all of it. Most customers combine two or three of these rather than installing them as separate systems.
